The Alliance runs on aligned funding. The work — counter-party tracker, regulatory desk, research network, fellowships — does not staff itself.
AIPIA is in the founding stage. A fiscal sponsorship arrangement is being finalized so that institutional grants and major gifts can be received under a 501(c)(3) before AIPIA's own permanent status is established.
Once the fiscal sponsor is signed, this page will host the donation form, recurring giving options, and donor-advised-fund instructions. Major gifts and institutional grants will be processed through the sponsor's IRS letter; donors receive a tax-deductible acknowledgment from the sponsoring organization.
If you are a foundation program officer or a major donor interested in early conversation while the sponsorship is being finalized, please write directly to funders@aipublicinterest.org. We can share AIPIA's mission statement, theory of change, and twelve-month operating budget on request.
Researchers and FOIA-experienced analysts to maintain the tracker, file public-records requests, and produce the quarterly report.
A staffed desk that drafts regulatory comments, builds the amicus brief co-signing program, and runs legislator briefings on public-interest AI.
Coordination across member institutions; commissioning of the annual State of Public-Interest AI report; convening of funder roundtables.
Underwriting fellowships for builders in the AI for Planet catalog — direct support to the people producing the constructive alternative.
Funder conversations are open even before the donation infrastructure is complete. The work is shaped by who builds it with us.
